BASOILS Trimethylolpropane Ester Base Oil is a synthetic ester base oil developed for fully synthetic and semi-synthetic lubricant formulations requiring excellent low-temperature fluidity, high viscosity index, thermal stability, and low volatility.

Available in a range of low- to medium-viscosity grades, the TMP ester series can be used as a primary base oil or as a co-base oil with compatible PAO and selected mineral base oils. Its balanced viscosity-temperature performance makes it suitable for lubricant systems operating under cold-start conditions, temperature fluctuations, high-speed motion, and extended service intervals.

This series is particularly suitable for ultra-low-temperature internal combustion engine oils, aviation lubricant formulations, compressor oils, hydraulic fluids, greases, aerosol lubricants, and industrial gear oils.

Is TMP ester base oil suitable for ultra-low-temperature lubricants?

Yes. The TMP607 grade has a pour point of -70°C, while other grades offer pour points from -60°C to -53°C. These properties make the series suitable for evaluating ultra-low-temperature lubricant formulations.

Can TMP ester base oil be used in aviation lubricants?

Yes. The current application guidance lists aviation lubricating oil as a recommended use, with a maximum reference dosage of up to 98%. Final aviation lubricant performance must be validated against the required specification and application conditions.

Can it be blended with PAO or mineral base oils?

Yes. TMP ester base oil can be evaluated in blends with compatible PAO and selected mineral base oils. Before commercial use, formulators should verify miscibility, viscosity response, additive solubility, seal compatibility, and finished-lubricant stability.
