Multi-Grade Ester Base Oils for Synthetic and Semi-Synthetic Compressor Lubricants

BASOILS Synthetic Ester Base Oil for Air Compressor Oil is a multi-grade synthetic ester base oil portfolio developed for lubricant manufacturers formulating synthetic and semi-synthetic compressor oils.

The series includes low-, medium-, high-, and high-viscosity ester base oils for different compressor lubricant viscosity targets. Selected grades can be used individually or blended with compatible synthetic and mineral base oils to support lubricant formulations requiring low-temperature fluidity, high flash point, ester polarity, additive solubility, and stable oil-film performance.

With viscosity grades ranging from 7.8 mm²/s to 306 mm²/s at 40°C, the portfolio gives formulators flexibility when designing compressor oils for different operating temperatures, compressor designs, discharge conditions, and finished-oil viscosity requirements.

This product range is intended for lubricant formulation rather than direct end use. Final compressor oil performance depends on the complete base-oil blend, additive package, operating conditions, and validation testing.

FAQ

What is synthetic ester base oil for air compressor oil?

Synthetic ester base oil is a lubricant base-oil component used to formulate compressor oils. It can support low-temperature flow, lubricity, additive solubility, oil-film retention, and high-temperature lubricant design, depending on the selected grade and final formulation.

Is this product a finished air compressor oil?

No. This product range consists of base oils for compressor lubricant formulation. A finished compressor oil requires a complete base-oil blend, additive package, and application-specific performance testing.

Which ester grade is suitable for low-temperature compressor oil?

Lower-viscosity grades such as DA22, DA31, DA32, DA34, DA41, TMP108A, and TMP108B can be considered where low-temperature fluidity is an important formulation target. Final selection depends on the required finished-oil viscosity and compressor operating conditions.

Which grade is suitable for higher-viscosity compressor oil?

M80, M100, TM143, POE150, and TM306 may be evaluated for higher-viscosity compressor lubricant formulations requiring stronger oil-film retention. Final selection should be based on compressor design, operating temperature, and finished-oil validation.

Can these ester base oils be blended with PAO?

Yes. Selected grades can be evaluated in blends with compatible PAO and selected mineral base oils. Before commercial production, verify miscibility, viscosity response, additive solubility, seal compatibility, and long-term storage stability.

Can ester base oil help reduce coking in compressor oils?

Ester base oils can be used in compressor oil formulations designed to improve high-temperature stability and deposit control. However, actual coking and carbon-deposit performance depends on the complete base-oil blend, additive package, compressor conditions, and validation testing.
